CHICAGO —

Gov. Rod Blagojevich's attorney says he'll ask a federal judge to give an impeachment committee all FBI tapes of the governor's conversations, not just the four prosecutors are offering.

Edward M. Genson spoke Monday in the dispute over whether the panel considering impeachment will be allowed to hear secret FBI recordings of Blagojevich's phone conversations made in the weeks before his Dec. 9 arrest.

The committee had hoped for a decision Monday. Another court hearing on the matter is set for Thursday.

The delay means the panel could make its recommendation without any tapes.

Blagojevich is charged with plotting to sell or trade the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama's election as president, and other offenses.
